16 July 2025, Nelson's Cub Club: Build! at Clifton Park Museum
Join Little Nelson and his Lion family to explore objects from the museum's collections and engage with them through stories, songs, and play!
Nelson loves making friends with everyone who comes to visit the museum. To celebrate our new exhibition SELF, which is all about identity in Rotherham, Nelson invites you to come and join in the fun! Explore, build new friendships and express yourself through song, dance and play!
Key information
- Nelson's cub club is for under 5s and their families.
- There are two sessions for each event day during term time:
- A morning session that runs from 10:00 until 11:30
- An afternoon session that runs from 12:30 until 14:00
- There will be space to park your buggies.
- All sessions are FREE and include a drink and small snack.
- The session numbers are extremely limited. We will be operating on a first come first served basis. The afternoon sessions are usually quieter than the morning sessions.
- We will meet in the drawing room every other Wednesday (10:00 until 11:30 and 12:30 until 14:00) during term time.

To help everyone have a safe, fun, and rewarding experience, here are a few gentle reminders:
- Be Present & Play Together - Stay close and enjoy exploring the activities alongside your child. It's a lovely chance to learn and play together!
- Care for the Space & Resources - Please help your child look after the toys and materials. We’re all sharing, so it’s great to show respect for the thing’s others will use too.
- We’re Here to Support You - Our team is here to guide the session and support you and your child — but you're still the best person to care for them throughout.
